Hervé Renard appointed new Les Bleues manager

Renard bags the job days atrer he left his post as the manager of Saudi Arabia to take the job in his homeland.

Hervé Renard has officially been appointed new Les Bleues manager, the French Football Federation has confirmed. Renard will be the coach of the French Women’s Team until August 2024 replacing dethroned Corinne Diacre.

The appointment follows an extraordinary Executive Committee meeting that was held on Thursday afternoon. Top on his to-do list will be to try to bring stability to a squad that was that has had a difficult past few months ignited by a string of withdrawals by key members of the team including Wendie Renard, Kadidiatou Diani and Marie-Ann Katoto.

Renard will be presented to the media at a press conference on Friday. He will also unveil his squad for France’s upcoming double-header against Colombia in Clermont on April 7 then Canada on the 11th in Le Mans.
