Alex Morgan and Khadija Shaw nominated for 2022 Concacaf Player of the Year

Alex Morgan and Khadija Shaw have been nominated for the 2022 CONCACAF Player of the Year award.

Alex Morgan, who plays for San Diego Wave and USWNT, and Khadija Shaw, who plays for Manchester City and Jamaica women’s football team are amongst the list of players who impressed the selection panel.

Morgan has been a vital cog in the USWNT for years and helped the team win the SheBelieves Cup for the sixth time. Khadija, who leads the goal scorers chat in the WSL, had been key to both club and country this year.

CONCACAF Awards is an annual event that celebrates the best footballing achievements for players from North American region.

The nominees for the 2022 CONCACAF Women’s Player of the Year are (listed in alphabetical order by last name):

Voting for the top gong will conclude on the 13th of April and the player with the most votes in this category will claim the prize.
