FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Trophy Tour around the globe took off in Melbourne with the 23-karat Italian designed trophy showcasing in Australia. FIFA Freestyler Lia Lewis displayed some of her truly awe-inspiring skills to all those in attendance, giving everyone in attendance a chance to bond and share insights on spicing up their beautiful game.
FIFA Legend and former USA superstar Kristine Lilly also graced the occasion for the unveiling of the Beyond Skills Drills. Speaking at the event to launch Beyond Skills Drills, an initiative earmarked affording willing participants a chance to try out fun football challenges, Lilly said, “Things will grow [in Australia and New Zealand] because of what naturally happens after a World Cup comes to a country. It’s different when the World Cup comes to your own country. The atmosphere and the play on the field [in 2023] will be incredible. For the new fans out there, give yourself a chance, come to a game and I think you will be sold on it.”
The biggest-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Trophy Tour is scheduled to make its second stop in Japan next weekend.
