All is set for the eighth edition of the SheBelieves Cup which roars into life from the 16th to the 19th of February.
Host nation and top-ranked USA will take on 2020 Olympic gold medalists Canada on the 16th of February at 7 p.m. ET at Exploria Stadium in what marks the 64th time of these two nations meeting since 1986. The USA leads the overall head-to-head with 52 wins, four draws and seven loses.
With Julie Ertz and Sam Mewis absent from the tournament, coach Vlatko Andonovski will look to Taylor Kornieck who looks to have cemented her place at the centre of the park for USA in the absence of the established two.
On the other hand, Canada will look to put behind the issues bedeviling their camp and rise to the occasion against the most common opponent in CanWNT football history.
The match presents a perfect opportunity for both sets of players to gauge their progress ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in July.
Preceding the USA and Canada match will be a Thursday February 16 4 p.m. ET showdown between Japan and Brazil.
The matches continue on the 19th, moving to Nashville when USWNT take on Japan at 3:30 p.m. ET.
On the same day, Canada will entertain Brazil at 6:30 p.m.
With the winner being determined by total points amassed, the last day of the tournament sees Canada clash with Japan at 4 p.m. ET and USA take on Brazil at 7 p.m. ET at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco.
With the first tiebreaker being overall goal difference, teams will hope to have gained enough ground in their bid to claim the prize.
All the matches will be broadcast on HBO Max, Universo and Peacock.
