United States women’s national team star Mallory Swanson was forced off Saturday’s match against Ireland due to an seemingly knee injury.
Appeared to plant her leg awkwardly while avoiding an Ireland challenge, immediately indicating she was in pain. Swanson was pictured flashing a heart sign with her hands to nervous onlookers, and was replaced by Trinity Rodman.
The in-form attacker has reportedly been taken to hospital for further assessment.
