CanWNT has named a full strength squad for their tie against France on 11th April.
The 24-player roster will travel to Le Mans to do duty during the upcoming April 2023 FIFA international window. The squad regroups for the first time after a tumultuous SheBelieves campaign that was severely affected by off the field turmoil.
The Canada FA and the players look to have buried the hatchet, at least for now, as they carry on with preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The team will be without injured Janine Beckie, who is out with an ACL injury and is a doubt for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Announcing the squad,Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team Head Coach Bev Priest man said, “With the World Cup around the corner, this camp is pivotal.”
“We will get to do some real good work as a group, both tactically but also culturally. I’m excited to get the group together after a very difficult February window.”
