Former Zambia, Ivory Coast and Morocco men’s national teams coach Hervé Renard is interested in the vacant France women’s national team job following the sacking of Corinne Diacre, according to L’Équipe.
Diacre was sacked by the French Football Federation after six years in charge as the team faced a player exodus pionnered by captain Wendie Renard amid heavy criticism of the 48-year-old Frenchwoman’s methods.
Renard, who is under contarct with Saudi Arabia Football Association coaching the men’s national team, is reportedly interested in the French job ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand.
