France’s Minister for Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra has put the blame for the ongoing crisis in French football solely on FFF’s doorstep. Oudéa-Castéra lamented the federation that has seen skipper Wendie Renard and key players Kadidiatou Diani and Marie-Antoinette Katoto withdraw from the national team duties.

Speaking to RTL, France’s Minister for Sports Amélie OOudéa-Castéra said, The whole situation pains me. It is symptomatic of this federation’s dysfunction.“

Commenting on the future of head coach Corinne Diacre, Oudéa-Castéra said, “The goal is to have the best prepared France Team for this beautiful World Cup.”

With just a few months before the World Cup kicks off, the chaos in France has left the team in a catch 22 as they look to have preparations back on track.
